Verda Voice Terms of Use
Last updated: October 26, 2026
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Verda Inc. ("Verda", "we") for the Verda Voice app and service ("Verda Voice"). By creating an account or using Verda Voice you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Verda Voice.
Our Verda Voice Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it, and is part of these terms.
What Verda Voice Does
Verda Voice gives you an AI assistant that answers calls forwarded from your phone, finds out who is calling and why, warns you about calls that look like scams, and sends you a summary. You can also talk with your assistant about your calls in Ask Verda.
- Verda Voice works with call forwarding from US mobile carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon). The app tells you during setup whether your carrier is supported.
- Verda Voice is currently invite-only and free. If we ever charge for it, we will tell you in advance and you can choose whether to continue.
- We are improving Verda Voice all the time, so features may change, and we may pause or end the service. If we end it, we will tell you first.
Your Account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Verda Voice.
- You may only set up Verda Voice for a phone number that is yours or that you are allowed to manage.
- Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app, in Settings › Delete account.
Recorded Calls
Calls that reach your assistant are recorded and transcribed. Your assistant tells every caller this at the start of the call. Calls you answer yourself are never recorded by Verda Voice.
Some states and countries have rules about recording calls. Use Verda Voice only where it is lawful to do so, and do not use recordings, transcripts or clips in ways that break the law or someone's privacy.
AI and Its Limits
Your assistant, its summaries, its scam warnings and its answers in Ask Verda are produced by AI. Call transcripts are processed by Anthropic, our AI provider, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- AI can make mistakes. A summary may miss something, and a scam warning may be wrong in either direction. Check anything important yourself.
- Verda Voice does not give legal, financial or medical advice.
- Verda Voice is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it for emergency calls. Calls to and from emergency services are handled by your carrier, not by Verda Voice.
Your Carrier
Call forwarding is a feature of your mobile carrier. Your carrier's plan and charges still apply, and some plans charge for forwarded calls. Verda is not responsible for your carrier's service or charges. You can turn forwarding off at any time; the code is in the app under Settings › Call forwarding.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use Verda Voice to break the law, or to harass, threaten, deceive or defraud anyone;
- use it to make unsolicited or automated calls, or to collect other people's information without permission;
- try to get into accounts, systems or data that are not yours, or disrupt the service;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer Verda Voice, except where the law allows it.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Your Content
Your calls, recordings, transcripts and lists stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Verda Voice for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use them to train AI models. Clips you choose to share are shared by you.
Ending Your Use
You can stop at any time by turning off call forwarding and deleting your account in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering Verda Voice. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability) continue after your use ends.
Disclaimers
Verda Voice is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will always work, answer every call, or be free of errors, and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verda and its officers, employees and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Verda Voice, including missed calls, wrong summaries or scam warnings. Verda's total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Verda for Verda Voice in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
If You Got the App from Apple
These terms are between you and Verda, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Verda Voice or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is not responsible for any claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Your use of the app must also follow the App Store's Usage Rules.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Verda is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless consumer protection laws give you the right to bring claims where you live.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. Changes will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app before it takes effect.
