Verda Terms of Service

Welcome to Verda. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Verda's mobile applications, websites, and services (collectively, the "Services"), provided by Verda ("Verda", "we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Verda. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information when you create your account
• Keeping your login credentials secure
• All activity that occurs under your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing support@verda.ai.

Verda has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to upload, post, or share content that:

• Is illegal, or promotes illegal activity
• Sexually exploits or endangers minors (CSAM), including any depiction, in any form
• Contains hate speech, harassment, bullying, threats, or incites violence against individuals or groups
• Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or graphically violent
• Infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property rights
• Impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation
• Contains malware, viruses, or deceptive/spam content
• Attempts to defeat, tamper with, or forge Verda's watermarking or verification system
• Violates any applicable law or third-party rights

You also agree not to harass, stalk, or abuse other users, scrape the Services, reverse-engineer the app, or use Verda to build a competing product.

You retain ownership of the content you upload to Verda ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant Verda a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Store, process, and transmit Your Content to provide the Services
• Embed imperceptible watermarks or fingerprints in Your Content
• Generate and host public verification links (e.g., verda.ai/abcdef) associated with Your Content
• Display Your Content to anyone with the verification link

This license ends when you delete Your Content, except to the extent that Your Content has already been shared publicly via verification links, or where retention is required by law.

You represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights to upload Your Content and grant the license above.

We reserve the right — but do not assume the obligation — to review, refuse, or remove any content, and to suspend or terminate any account, at any time and without notice, if we believe it violates these Terms or applicable law. Reports of objectionable content or abusive users are reviewed within 24 hours and acted upon as appropriate.

Include a description of the content, a link if available, and the reason for your report. We will review and respond within 24 hours.

Verda offers paid subscription plans. Subscriptions are billed through:

• Apple App Store on iOS devices
• Google Play Billing on Android devices

Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your payment method will be charged at the then-current price.

Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID settings (iOS) or Google Play subscriptions (Android). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.

Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies. Verda does not process refunds directly. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial periods.

Price changes: We may change subscription prices. If we do, we will notify you in advance, and the change will take effect at your next renewal.

The Services may integrate with third-party platforms (for example, social networks you authorize Verda to post to, or identity verification providers). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Verda is not responsible for third-party services.

The Services, including all software, designs, trademarks, and watermarking technology, are owned by Verda or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Services except the limited right to use them as described.

You can stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. On termination, your right to use the Services ends, and we may delete your account and content, subject to the Privacy Policy.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Verda does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that watermarks will be detectable in all circumstances or by all tools. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verda disclaims all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verda and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services. Verda's total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Verda in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 50.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Verda from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Verda is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer protection laws grant you the right to bring claims in your home jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
